Journalist and photographer Ian Darragh will be giving an illustrated talk about midtown Toronto’s largest green space at the Deer Park Branch of the Toronto Public Library at 40 St. Clair Ave E. on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m.
Learn about the fascinating history of David A. Balfour Park and the Vale of Avoca, which neighbourhood residents treasure as their “Central Park.”
John Bossons of the Midtown Ravines Group will also provide an update on an exciting project to repair and restore the access points, trails and biodiversity of the Vale of Avoca. Brochures that provide a map and self-guided walk of the Vale of Avoca Ravine will be available at this event.
