We continue to follow Fitzrovia’s plans for a 50-storey luxury rental building at Avenue Road and St. Clair.
The first community meeting following City Council’s approval of the rezoning was held on February 10, 2026. Fitzrovia presented the project in the context of its Site Plan Application and indicated that further community consultation would take place as design and construction planning progressed.
A meeting scheduled for September 15 involving a community group and one of our board members has now been postponed because of delays in awarding a contract and obtaining detailed information from a trade partner.
We have also asked for an update on the Site Plan Application, including whether City staff have provided comments and whether those comments will be shared with the community. We are awaiting a response.
Given the significant challenges experienced by nearby neighbourhoods during construction of the Amica development at Avenue Road and Balmoral over the past two years, effective management of construction and its impact on residents remains of utmost concern.
