The City of Toronto recently granted a Zoning By-law Amendment to permit cultural and music-related uses on a temporary basis for 10 Rosehill Avenue, which formerly housed the Linden School.
CreateTO which administers the property is working with Economic Development and Culture and the Toronto Music office to support Toronto’s creative sector. These uses could include rehearsal and music related performance spaces.
The City owns 10 Rosehill Avenue along with the P parking structure at 21 Pleasant Boulevard. These properties have been identified as a future Toronto builds site for the development of new affordable and rental homes on city owned land. There are currently no plans to build on the site in the immediate future. The site-specific Zoning By-law amendment is valid for 3 years, after which it can be renewed for another 3 years.
