Higher density development legislated in our neighbourhood

PLEASE ATTEND CONSULTATION MEETINGS

We continue to try to influence the height and density of buildings proposed for our neighbourhood and those adjacent. Our next opportunity is a public consultation happening on Wednesday.

City of Toronto Virtual Town Hall
Wednesday, January 21, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. ONLINE

Under the Planning Act and the Provincial Planning Statement, 2024, municipalities are required to delineate Major Transit Station Areas (MTSAs) around higher-order transit stations (such as subways, light rail, and GO Transit) to encourage transit-supportive, high-density development. The City of Toronto has designated those areas and is now in the process of rewriting the zoning by-laws to allow for the greater densities.
